Does it get any better than combining Oreo cookies with brownies? I think not!

Every year during the Christmas season, my family and I always get together and make a bunch of homemade candy and cookies…standard right? Well one staple we make every year are Oreo truffle balls and they are SO good. The only problem is they take time to chill after mixing the crushed Oreos and cream cheese, then you have to dip them in white chocolate, hope your coated cookie ball comes out even and wait what seems like forever before they are ready to be eaten. These Oreo Truffle Brownies though cut out some time and some dough rolling so I am here for it.

The recipe starts out with making the brownie batter first and then baking it. Keep in mind while you are melting your butter and chocolate not to let it burn. I use a gas stove and it can get pretty hot when dropping in the butter, so be warned.

While the brownies are baking, it’s time to crush the Oreos and mix the cream cheese. Using a food processor is basically the only way to save time on crushing these Oreos. I do not know what I did without one for things like this before my mom gave me this KitchenAid food processor one year for my birthday. If you don’t have a food processor, you will get a workout crushing these Oreos by hand or with a rolling pin!

Once the brownies are finished, make sure to cool them completely before spreading on the Oreo truffle topping. You risk the top of the brownie peeling off when spreading the truffle mix. After successfully coating the brownies with truffle mixture, melt white chocolate, drizzle over top and enjoy. For a more even and photogenic look, I cut the brownies first instead of drizzling over the entire pan.

Be warned – these Oreo truffles may cause everyone that tries it to fall in love with your baking skills!
