Not sure why there is a stigma against Brussels sprouts, but there is and especially with kids. Recently, I grew out of this stage (sorry it took so long, Mom) and now they are something I plan to work in the rotation consistently at home.

Sharing an easy recipe find with my own twists to make it even tastier IMO. These Brussels sprouts will take about 30 minutes to cook from start to finish and make you seem like an expert chef to your friends or family.

Enjoy!

Total time – 30 minutes

Prep time – 10 minutes

Cook time – 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of Brussels sprouts
  • 3 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to desired taste
  • 3 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 5 strips of bacon (cooked)

Instructions

  • Cook 5 strips of bacon in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes or desired crispiness. I line a baking sheet with foil and lay bacon on top of greased cooling rack on baking sheet for easy clean up.
  • Wash Brussels sprouts with cool water. Peel off excess layers on them and slice in half long ways.
  • Toss in bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  • Line on baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  • While baking, mix balsamic vinegar and honey together and break up bacon into crumbles.
  • After the Brussels sprouts have cooked, toss in vinegar and honey mixture, while adding bacon.

This is best served right out of the oven, enjoy!
